Description:
1925-1926 original art, oil on canvas – Mizen 18"x31" signed by Fred Mizen. As with most of these original painting the signature was painted over. This one is no different, signature is clearly there, can be seen by holding at an angle. An attempt was made (back then) to hide it with green background paint. Some early restoration on green background. The story with this piece is it was a gift from Robert Woodruff on one of his many fishing trips to Cuba to a friend. Most impressive gift, especially being a recognizable image. If you own an example of this cutout you have to have this one of a kind piece of art
