Description:
14 1/4" x 7", museum mounted and framed under conservation glass; due to its size, my guess is that this began life as a paper roll-down poster or larger calendar, and was likely cut and trimmed for insertion into a scrapbook as was the hobby and custom during that period; the piece still exhibits wonderful presence and depicts the girl holding the early flared glass of which I've never seen an example; when viewed at an angle to the light you see numerous minor surface wrinkles, and only very light surface wear and the paper remains strongly enameled; condition 8 to 8.5 / EX
