Description:

11" diameter, each piece. Five separate pieces, decorated on both sides, with heavy paint build-up and texture in many areas. Cardboard backgrounds have a variety of paints with possibly some oils applied. All pieces are wonderfully executed and signed, "M. Nichols". Most of the illustrations are quite whimsical and wonderfully detailed, with some angelic figures, some cherubic figures. One panel shows kids dancing around bottles and glasses on a table, another depicts Mom on a candlestick phone surrounded by children. Another, depicts a man and woman at a soda fountain table. Another depicts female tennis player being picked up in a 1920's convertible, and many other wonderful scenes. Some medium overall wear, marks, one or two small closed tears; mild paint chips and nicks, mostly around the edges. This piece is quite unusual and was likely submitted for festoon artwork. Highly enjoyable and likely unique. Condition VG
