Description:
Vintage Glasco GBV-50 Slider Coca-Cola Cooler – 1959. Beautiful red painted floor model Cooler with lift top lid and chromed Glasco logo; has bottle opener with catch on the front and black painted 15 cent coin box on the left side which accepts a dime & a nickel. The interior can hold 5 flavors in rows of 10 bottles each, vending up to 50 bottles at a time and has a lower storage area that will “pre-cool” up to 25 bottles; refilling the machine is done through a door in the right side of the case. Circa 1959, signed on a metal tag Glasco Bottle Vendor GBV-50 with serial number 16007. Cooler has been professionally media blasted, primed, and painted. New insulation was installed as well as the liner and rack being professionally powder coated. A new electrical harness and new Tecumseh condensing unit installed chills this machine perfectly. The original coin box was also media blasted, primed, and painted with the correct "wrinkle paint" as originally used. The coin mechanism has been cleaned and calibrated. Bottles are loaded through the side loading door. 41 in. high x 37 in. wide x 19 in. deep.
